The DISA Foundation has presented a new cultural project that brings theater closer to the entire population. The Family Theater Festival will go hand in hand with the company Timaginas different stages of the Canary Islands, with three shows, in a humorous key, that will review history, art and literature. The presentation of this initiative took place this Wednesday at the Guiniguada Theater in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and was led by Juan Márquez, Deputy Minister of Culture of the regional government; Sara Mateos, director of the DISA Foundation, and Armando Jerez and María Rodríguez, directors of the company.
The tour starts this Friday (7:30 p.m.) in Guiniguada with Euripides, don’t tell me, Sophocles, Aeschylus, a funny story, written by Armando Jerez, to learn about the origin of theater in ancient Greece. On Sunday, the Guimerá Theater of Santa Cruz will host (19.00) The Farce of the Golden Age, a show by the same author where children and adults will review the greatest figures of that period. This same function will be held on March 13 at the Puerto del Rosario Auditorium, in Fuerteventura, and will also travel to the Asabanos Cultural Center in El Hierro and the San Bartolomé Theater in Lanzarote, with dates still to be defined. 2 of May The most pirate conquest It will be staged at the Castillo de Santa Catalina, in Santa Cruz de La Palma.
