Russian media reported that the 33-year-old captain Ivan Romanov from Berdsk (city in Russia, in the Novosibirsk region) he died during a “special military operation in Ukraine”.
The Berdsk administration reported that Ivan Romanov died on April 24, saving his comrade.
As reported by the Russian media, Ivan Romanov was born in 1989. In 2006, he graduated from the school No. 3 “Pelikan” in Berdsk, and in 2011, the Novosibirsk Higher School of Military Command. Then he joined the army.
Ivan Romanov was a distinguished officer. He participated in the liberation of Crimea, as well as in the Russian intervention in Syria.
The Russian was twice awarded the Order of Courage, the second time posthumously.

The death of Ivan Romanov is our joint loss and joint pain. His story will forever remain in our hearts and memories. Russia lost at least 300 officers in Ukraine
This is the third Russian soldier from this city to die in Ukraine. Earlier, Aleksander Frolov and Lieutenant Siemon Proszczałgin were killed there, informs the Russian portal Berdsk Online.
