You want more John Wick? You'll probably understand it, as long as everyone else wants it too. Director of the franchise Chad Stahelski has recently opened up the future of the franchise, promising that he and the star Keanu Reeves have many ideas for more John Wick sequel, and revealing that Reeves played a role in shaping the next TV spin-off series The Continental.
I hope that John Wick the franchise never ends. As long as Keanu Reeves is willing to adapt and run around killing the henchmen, I'm willing to watch it. And fortunately, it seems that Reeves and the franchisor director Chad Stahelski are a game, as long as the audience is still there. Speaking to EW, Stahelski said:
"I like creating these films because there is no limit … We create our mythology, and we have a studio (Lionsgate) that keeps us out of the way and supports us on extravagant decisions. If people go to see the movie "And it makes money, and they came back to us, Keanu and I have ideas for days. It's a fun world. I could live here for the rest of my career. If people like and want to look more, I could think of the worst ways pass your career. We will let the public understand it. "
While John Wick: Chapter 4 has yet to be announced, c & # 39; a is John Wick TV spin-off in progress – The Continental, coming to Starz. And it seems that Stahelski and Reeves played an active role in shaping the series. "They have a writers' room working on it right now, trying to develop the first season," says Stahelski. "Keanu and I sat down with that creative element and exposed what we hear John Wick special, and what would make the TV show unique. Now, it will be a turn of back and forth. But yes, Lionsgate is in full development and it's called The Continental. It should be fun."
I'm glad that Reeves played a part in developing this TV series, but I'm still a little worried about a story set in John Wick world that it does not do it there are John Wick. Of course, building the world of franchising is wonderful and expansive. But the real draw is Keanu Reeves in the role of John Wick: wouldn't any of these work without him? I guess we'll find out when The Continental previews.
Meanwhile, here's hoping John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum ends up being a great success, so we could be blessed with more sequels.
