Researchers from the National Institutes of Health in the United States have defined eight factors that can cause you to develop a serious form of Covid-19 or even die despite a full vaccination against the coronavirus. HLN writes about it.
There were found to be eight risk factors:
- over 65 years of age,
- a disturbed immunity (due to illness or medication, for example)
- chronic lung diseases,
- liver diseases,
- kidney disease,
- heart disease
- neurological disorders.
Anyone who became very ill and had to be hospitalized with acute respiratory problems had at least one of those risk factors.
More than three quarters (78 percent) of the people who died had at least four.
