Cars of European, American and Japanese brands were among the worst.

Today’s cars are not indestructible. While in the past rust was the biggest fear, today it is the electronics that can fail and thus make it impossible to use the car. But even today, critical failures of mechanical parts occur, and this can happen after driving several tens of thousands of kilometers. And it was exactly this area that German automotive journalists focused on.

Since 2014, they have tested more than eighty models in long-term tests and driven at least one hundred thousand kilometers with each one. Cars of European, American and Japanese brands were among the worst. Some of the usual stereotypes about unreliability were confirmed, but there were also surprises in the list.
