Controversy in the streets of Pamplona. The citizen association Family has denounced an advertising campaign by the Government of Navarra because it considers that it has “high sexual content”.
The campaign, which is displayed on advertising displays of the Pamplona electric bicycle network, is aimed at raise awareness about sexually transmitted infections (ITS).
To do this, advertising shows semi-naked bodies or kisses with tongue to warn of possible infections of chlamydia, gonorrhea or HIV.
For the association, the campaign stands out for its “high sexual content visible to everyone, including children”, with “explicit sexual images not suitable for minors”, it says. Family in a press release.
The organization understands that “showing scenes of explicit sex promotes promiscuity and thus the increase in infections, which is precisely the opposite of what the campaign seeks.”
