A judicial investigation has just been opened after the discovery of the body of a seven year old boy on Thursday at Perpignan, announced the prosecutor on Saturday night, who requested the indictment of the child’s father, uncle and grandmother.
The prosecutor of Perpignan, Jean-David Cavaillé, requested the indictment of the 28-year-old father for “murder of a minor under 15 years of age” in relation to his son and for “attempted murder” towards his two daughters three and four years old. She also mentioned that “medical examinations of the two girls,” who had been hospitalized, “reported multiple injuries to the body and face.”
Cavaillé also requested indictment for “not reporting” the murder of the seven-year-old boy, the 33-year-old paternal uncle, and the 61-year-old paternal grandmother. The child’s autopsy will be conducted on Monday. He also mentioned that “psychological support” has been provided to the children’s maternal grandmother and mother.
The child was found dead in the bathtub from an apartment in an impoverished neighborhood, with the body marked by multiple bruises and partially frozen, according to a source close to the investigation.
