How transmits Deadline, at a press conference dedicated to the film, actor Harrison Ford, who played the main role throughout the franchise, spoke about his attitude towards the “digital rejuvenation” technology that was used in the tape.

The 80-year-old actor believes that in the fifth Indiana Jones film, the use of this technology benefited the final result.

“Technology has evolved to the point where even I found the footage very realistic, even though it was my own face,” says Ford. “It’s not some Photoshop magic, that’s how I looked 35 years ago because Lucasfilm has all the footage of the movies we’ve made together all these years.”

Ford noted that sometimes scenes with “rejuvenation” technologies in movies can be “conspicuous” and look “fake” if they are not backed up by context, an appropriate story, as was the case in Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Fate. The actor believes that in this tape the creators very skillfully used technology.

Harrison Ford added that he was “very pleased” with how he ended up being “rejuvenated” in the film, but that doesn’t mean he’d like to be young again.
