This is Telefónica’s new ‘GPS’: five keys for the shareholder and an elephant in the room

Investor’s Day Telefónica This Wednesday was a date marked in red in the business world and one of the most relevant days in the company’s recent history.

Once the three hours of presentationthese are some of the keys for shareholders and clients that the new group GPSin addition to some of the most notable absences.

Telefónica has committed to, at least, maintain the dividend at 0.30 euros until 2026. This will mean for the group some commitments of 1.7 billion euros annually as I was currently assuming. However, what is presented indicates that the figure could increase if the business is its own, consolidating the share as one of the most generous dividends on the Ibex 35.

Telefónica has presented a guide in which it plans to grow on average approximately 1% in revenue and 2% in profitability (Ebitda), a growth that will be explained in one third by new businesses and two thirds by greater efficiencies.

The great focus of the plan, however, is the generation of cash flowwhich will increase by 10% until reaching 3 billion euros in 2026. The plan accounts for growth in income and profitability for the Spanish market starting next year.
