Huawei Nova Y91 official: battery to enjoy

Huawei has presented a new midrange device that will be released on the market worldwide. It is the Nova Y91 that is equipped with a battery of no less than 7000 mAh. Charging it is relatively fast with a maximum of 22.5 watts.

Most devices come on the market with a battery of 4500 to 5000 mAh. However, there are also some smartphones with batteries of, for example, 15000 mAh, making them literally bricks.

Other specifications

The Nova Y91 is otherwise equipped with an LCD screen of 6.95 inches with a full HD resolution of 2376 by 1080 pixels. The screen refresh rate is 90Hz, which makes everything feel a bit smoother. The physical fingerprint scanner is placed on the side and the selfie camera is in the large notch on the front.

The Snapdragon 680 processor has been chosen, a relatively old chip that we know from the Motorola G52 in Redmi Note 11. There is 8GB of RAM on board and you can choose from models with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. You can take selfies with 8 megapixels and you’ll find two more cameras on the back. This concerns a primary sensor of 50 megapixel and 2 megapixel depth sensor. You use it to take portrait photos.

The device does not run on Android, but on the self-developed HarmonyOS, over which the EMUI 13 shell has been placed. 5G support is not available, so mobile internet can be done via 4G. There is room for two SIM cards and Bluetooth, GPS and stereo speakers are also available.

Availability Huawei Nova Y91

The manufacturer has not yet announced what exactly the device should cost. The device will be released worldwide. The Y91 will be available in black and silver.

Huawei is no longer very active in the smartphone field in our market. This has to do with the trade ban with American companies that they deal with. As a result, the company is no longer allowed to use a full version of Android on their devices. Huawei recently announced the Huawei P60 (Pro) to be released in the Netherlands. They are now increasingly focusing on the market of wireless earbuds in smartwatches.
