This Woman Returns IDR 8.1 Million Tucked In The KFC Order All – A woman named Joanne Oliver returned 543 US dollars or around Rp. 8.1 million to KFC in Georgia, USA, on Monday (19/9/2022).

The cash was found tucked inside a package of food that Oliver ordered at the fast food restaurant.

The information then spread widely on the internet after the Jackson City, Georgia police posted it on Facebook.

Quoted from Fox29Tuesday (20/9/2022), the Jackson City Police Department explained, Oliver visited a local KFC during his lunch break.

He also wraps sandwiches to take home via drive-thru ordering.

On the way, Oliver is surprised to find money tucked under his sandwich package.

According to information, the cash amounted to 543 US dollars, or around Rp. 8.1 million.

“I started counting and when I got the $500, I stopped and put it back in the envelope, closed the envelope, returned the sandwich as I had it (originally) and just slid it aside until the officer got here,” Oliver told WSB- TV quoted from The SunMonday (19/9/2022).

Without thinking, Oliver secured the money and called the police.

Even though she’s actually in a million-dollar debt because of her husband’s cancer medical bills, Oliver said he knew he had to do the right thing. He kept calling the police.

He also returned the money to the KFC restaurant he had visited.

Deposit money

When confirmed, the authorities said that the money was the daily deposit at the KFC restaurant.

The money was accidentally placed by a worker on Oliver’s order.

According to the police, what Oliver did by returning the money to KFC was the right thing to do, as well as saving the employee’s job.

“Not only did Mrs Oliver do the right thing, but she saved the (KFC) manager’s job,” a police department spokesman said.

In return, the restaurant provides one free menu for Oliver.

“Mrs Oliver, thank you for reminding us that we have wonderful Citizens in Jackson and it’s people like you who make us great.”
