Ten people died and 316 were diagnosed with coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Argentina -the highest number of infected in a day since the pandemic began-, which amounts to 329 the deceased and 6,879 the infected since the start of the outbreak, the Ministry of Health of the Nation.
The health portfolio reported in their evening report that they died Five men, three residents in the City of Buenos Aires, 68, 79 and 40 years old; two residents in the province of Buenos Aires, 78 and 80 years old; and three women, a 57-year-old resident in the province of Chaco; another 73 years old, resident in the province of Buenos Aires; and one 79-year-old resident in the City of Buenos Aires.
The morning part stated -for its part- that two women died, an 82-year-old resident of the City of Buenos Aires; and a 66-year-old resident in the province of Buenos Aires.
Of the total of 6,879 cases, 934 (13.6%) are imported, 3,109 (45.2%) are close contacts of confirmed cases2,039 (29.6%) are cases of community circulation and the rest are under epidemiological investigation.
Of those diagnosed today with Covid-19, 96 cases were registered in the province of Buenos Aires, in the City of Buenos Aires 178, in Chaco 18, in Córdoba 11, in Corrientes 5, in Entre Ríos 1, in Mendoza 1, in Neuquén 2, and in Río Negro 4.
Meanwhile, no infected were registered in Chubut, Jujuy, La Pampa, La Rioja, Misiones, Salta, San Juan, San Luis, Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero, Tierra del Fuego, and Tucumán.
The total number of accumulated by district indicates that the province of Buenos Aires totals 2,332 cases, the City of Buenos Aires 2,465, Chaco 504, Chubut 4, Córdoba 361, Corrientes 76, Entre Ríos 29, Jujuy and La Pampa 5.
La Rioja reaches 60 cases, Mendoza 88, Misiones 25, Neuquén 113, Río Negro 294, Salta 5, San Juan 3, San Luis 11, Santa Cruz 49, Santa Fe 244, Santiago del Estero 16, Tierra del Fuego 148, and Tucumán 42.
Catamarca and Formosa remain unregistered with coronavirus.
The Ministry also clarified that a case in the province of Misiones was reclassified to the City of Buenos Aires.
In addition, in Tierra del Fuego 13 cases are included in the Falkland Islands, according to press information, due to the illegal occupation of the United Kingdom, Great Britain and Northern Ireland, it is not possible to have their own information on the impact of Covid – 19 in that part of the Argentine territory.
