MIAMI, Florida – Tropical Depression Norbert degraded to a remnant early Thursday morning as it moved over the Mexican Pacific, posing no threat to the coastline, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported.
According to the bulletin issued by the NHC at 5:00 am ET Thursday, the system was 125 miles south-southwest of Punta Eugenia, Mexico.
The system had maximum sustained winds of 30 miles per hour, and it was moving in a north-northwest direction at a translation speed of seven miles per hour.
There are no warnings or surveillance in force for coastal areas.
Norbert is expected to continue to weaken and dissipate into Thursday night.
