Trump escorted by secret service agent after shooting outside the White House

U.S. President Donald Trump was forced to interrupt his coronavirus press conference on Monday. A secret service agent spoke to him in the ear and escorted him out of the room. At issue, Trump later revealed, was the firing of shots outside the White House that caused an injury.

After the President left, the room was locked for the safety of journalists, who were then informed of the reason.

Witnesses claim to have seen secret service agents running around the White House garden with guns drawn.

Upon returning to the press room, Trump informed reporters of what had happened and added that the suspect was shot and transported to the hospital. “I would like to thank the secret services for their always fast and very efficient work. There was a real shooting and someone was taken to the hospital. I don’t know what condition that person is in. It looks like it was shot by the secret services. We will see what happens, ”he said. The situation “appears to be under control,” he added.

A CNN journalist asked him if he had been taken to the ‘bunker’, to which Trump replied: “no, we were just taken out of the Oval Office”. Another journalist asked if the President was upset. “Do not know. Do I look disturbed? ”He replied. “I feel very secure with the secret services. They are fantastic people, they are the best of the best and they are very well trained. They just wanted me to get away for a while to make sure everything was controlled abroad ”, he explained.

“I don’t know if he was close, he or she. I think the person did not go through anything. I don’t believe anything has been pierced. I asked that question, ”said Trump, stressing that he has“ enormous confidence ”in secret services.

The secret services confirmed on Twitter the incident, which is being investigated.
