Turkish Embassy donated 25 thousand masks to the CCSS

(CRHoy.com) The government of Turkey, through its ambassador in the country, Fatma Pihava Ünlü, donated 25 thousand masks to the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS).

The donation was made to provide health personnel working on the front line of emergency care due to COVID-19.

The donation is the product of the coordinated management between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Directorate of International Cooperation, the embassies of Costa Rica in Ankara and of Turkey in San José, and the Costa Rican Social Security Fund to obtain greater resources from our partners abroad to alleviate the health crisis due to COVID-19.

“The challenge of recovery post pandemic is immeasurable, but we assume it with optimism because we know that we are not alone, we confirm today that we have sincere and close friends with whom we will work side by side, hand in hand, for the good of our peoples, ”said the Foreign Minister, Rodolfo Solano, after The donation.

For his part, the executive president of the Fund, Román Macaya Hayes, said that the equipment donated by Turkey, will benefit doctors, nurses and staff who are in the areas of care of patients with COVID-19, and stressed that the donation constitutes “a token of friendship between two countries.”
