Twelve employees of a senior center are being investigated for reckless homicide and concealment after the death of an elderly woman in a geriatric center of the Altiplano region in which they worked.
As reported this Monday by the Civil Guard, the operation Predecessor began when the relatives of the deceased elderly woman reported to the judicial authorities the alleged irregularities that contributed to her death, which they learned about through a series of anonymous communications.
The Court of First Instance and Instruction number 2 of Yecla ordered that specialists in the Judicial Police investigate the death to clarify whether, despite the fact that Her natural death was certified, the old woman died outside her room where, a priori, he should have been sleeping.
The testimonies and the rest of the evidence collected allowed us to detect certain inconsistencies that shed light on irregular behavior of some of these employees, to the point of deducing that the death did not occur in the old woman’s room, but rather in the parking lot of the geriatric facility.
According to the investigation, the woman disappeared at midnight and the employees were looking for her until well into the early morning, at which time they found her dead in the parking lot of the residence.
