Launched in 2019 during TwitchCon, the streaming giant’s Twitch Sings adventure is coming to an end. Indeed, Twitch Interactive has just announced the bad news on its official website.

So during April 2019 came out Twitch Sings, a service allowing Twitch users, and more particularly streamers, to sing live on a wide selection of music. Unfortunately, this feature will close in the coming months.

Looking ahead, we’ve decided to invest in larger tools and services that will help support and grow the entire music community on Twitch. For this reason, we have made the painful decision to shut down Twitch Sings on January 1, 2021. This community has inspired us with their talent and passion, and we thank you all for what you have brought to Twitch Sings over these years.

What will happen now? We are grateful to all of the streamers and singers who have contributed to the Sings community, making her one of the greatest sources of inspiration on Twitch. Today, we’re making our entire catalog of over 400 new songs available to you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Twitch Sings over the next few months. As of December 1, we will start removing Sings videos and clips as a contractual obligation, and on January 1 the game will stop working. Looking ahead, we can’t wait to tell you more about the future of music on Twitch, and what we’re doing to make Twitch the best place to connect you with the artists and music you love. love. So you don’t have a few weeks left to take full advantage of Twitch Sings, since starting December 1, the videos and clips available in the app will be deleted one by one. The service will then close its doors permanently on January 1, 2021.
