Twitter CEO called for bitcoin donation to the movement against police brutality in Nigeria

October 16, 2020.-

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey joined the EndSARS campaign against police brutality in Nigeria and called on Twitter users to donate bitcoins in favor of the movement.

The EndSARS movement opposes the brutality of the Special Anti-Theft Unit (SARS) of the Nigerian Police.

Since October 4, there have been protests in the country, after which the president, Muhammad Bukhari, dissolved that police unit.

But SARS agents continue to work in other police units.

Human rights activists and members of the EndSars movement consider the measures taken by the authorities insufficient and continue the protests.

The campaign is also supported by the CEO of the Paxful cryptocurrency platform, Ray Youssef.
