Two people in custody after a fatal stab near Dauphin: RCMP

Dauphin's RCMP says two people are being held in connection with a murder in Gilbert Plains, Man.

Police say the agents responded to a stab report at around 9:40 on Saturday and found a 36-year-old man suffering from injuries.

They say the victim received immediate medical attention, but succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

On Sunday, a 39-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested and taken into custody in connection with the murder investigation, according to the RCMP.

No charges have been established at this time.

Gilbert Plains is located about 350 kilometers northwest of Winnipeg.
