This year, to reassert its role in the video game scene, HP hits hard with a new range of surviving OMEN and Pavilion Gaming laptops. These new machines have their reworked design for a better aesthetic appearance and finer, and have an improved cooling system. In addition, there are now 9th generation Intel CPUs, NVIDIA Turing GPUs (RTX 2000 and GTX 1660 Ti), plus some innovations like the company's flagship product: OMEN X 2S, the first gaming notebook PC with two integrated screens.

The new OMEN X 2S is equipped with a 6-inch SHARP FHD touch screen above the keyboard. Useful for watching a video or managing a chat application during the game, it also allows you to monitor the performance of the machine in real time thanks to an OMEN command center whose interface has been specifically adapted. Furthermore, the touch screen also incorporates a mirror function, for selecting, duplicating and zooming the part of the main screen. For example, you can view the map of a game, the kill feed or other indication that we want to keep an eye on.

To ensure better performance for users, HP claims to have focused on the cooling system of the new OMEN and Pavillon Gaming laptops. They now have larger fans and are equipped with enlarged air intakes / outlets, maintaining a thickness of only 20 mm for OMEN 15 / X 2S and 23 mm for Pavillion Gaming 15. Note that notebooks OMEN is also fitted with a new air intake on the side (in addition to the two on the back). Finally, the flagship product OMEN X 2S enjoys a special treatment with a Conductonaut cooled liquid metal CPU, signed Thermal Grizzly.

OMEN 17: support for 3 storage solutions

Intended more for those looking for a mobile alternative to the desktop PC, HP also offers a new OMEN laptop with a 17-inch screen. Obviously more impressive than its little brothers, it has the distinction of being the first to offer up to three storage solutions: 2 SSDs and a traditional hard drive (up to 3 TB in RAID 0). On the other hand, its larger chassis also allows you to ship a Max-P (or standard) graphics card, unlike the 15-inch versions that are content with a Max-Q model.
