More than 60 students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico participated in the Seventh Seminar on Veterinary Clinical Pathology, which was held through the Teams platform, broadcast live on YouTube and in which 17 projects were presented.
The professor of this university space Esther Velázquez Barranco, explained that this academic exercise was carried out with ehe purpose of giving continuity to the projects of the young people, who had the opportunity to present clinical cases, mainly of dogs and cats.
He pointed out that the Veterinary Clinical Pathology Seminar allows students demonstrate their skills in the use of laboratory techniques and analysis, as well as put their knowledge into practice in performing interpretations and diagnoses, in order to offer adequate treatment to patients.
During the live broadcast, which was joined by the director of the UAEM Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry, Trinidad Beltrán León, lhe students of the sixth semester, who were organized in groups or individually, presented clinical cases of small and large species with diseases such as cancer, kidney failure and gastroenteric processes, among other pathologies.
Esther Velázquez Barrancor indicated that it is the first time that the Veterinary Clinical Pathology Seminar is held virtually, for which the provision of teachers and students taking the learning unit in Clinical Pathology was essential.
