Uber is preparing to enter the marijuana market in Canada, where users of the Uber Eats service application in the Canadian city of Ontario will soon be able to order cannabis products on the application.

Customers will be able to place their orders in a dedicated section of the app for Tokyo Smoke retail cannabis stores, and then pick them up at a nearby store.

The company declined to say whether it would expand the service to all parts of Canada and the United States.

The Canadian marijuana market is worth about C$5 billion ($4 billion) annually.
