A car crashed in a Christmas march in Wisconsin on Sunday night, killing several people, U.S. police said.
Officials are still gathering information about the incident in Vokiš, one of the suburbs of Milwaukee, shortly after 4:30 a.m. (Monday at 10:30 a.m. Latvian time).
During the annual Christmas procession in the town, a red SUV crashed into the crowd.
The authorities warn that the number of victims may change as new information continues to come.
Local police the chief informed reporters that the person behind the wheel had been detained.
Earlier, the chief of firefighters said that 11 adults and 12 children had been taken to hospitals.
