US woman arrested for tying up baby and toddler in her home

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -Police United States of America arrested a woman after receiving reports of two children, 1 year and 2 years old, being found alone and tied up in a house in the State of Texas.

As reported by the KSAT on Thursday, January 13, 2022, Priscilla Ann Salais, was indicted on Tuesday local time with two counts of endangering two children.

San Antonio City Police found the children Sunday afternoon after a woman called 911 asking them to check the children in a locked room, court documents said.

After firefighters forced their way in, they found a one-year-old baby girl with wrists and ankles bound. “We had to break down the bedroom door to get in,” police said.

Apart from the bound hands and feet, the girl’s condition was pathetic. “His eyes were black and his lips were bleeding,” San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said.

A two-year-old boy was found in a covered playground above him. “So it’s like a cage,” he added. McManus also told local publications that the two children were very dirty and cried when they were found.

They are now in the custody of the Texas state child protection service (CPS).

“What he did to these children is unforgivable,” Chief McManus said, adding that the allegations were dangerous child carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison.

“Two years seems like nothing compared to what he did to these kids”.

ABC7 reports that Salais is not the biological mother of the children, but was granted custody of them because their parents are being investigated by CPS.

Salais denied the allegations when he was confronted by the media outside the police station.

The children’s mother told News 4 San Antonio that her children had been placed in an orphanage after she was deemed a “threat”.

“All the threats that they said I would do, it happened exactly at the house where they were deposited by government agencies United States of America, said the biological mother.
