The complainant believes that the social network uses the cameras of iPhones for this purpose
Enter24.com.- A user of the social network Instagram, named Brittany Conditi, sued Facebook before the Northern District Court of California in the United States (USA) for alleged espionage towards users of the first.
The woman alleged that Facebook was accessing the iPhone’s cameras, even when the application was not being actively used.
These allegations were denied by the social network, which explained that it was simply an error that generated false notifications that Instagram was accessing the iPhone cameras.
However, this is not the first complaint against a social network, the most recent was on August 13, when Instagram was sued for allegedly collecting biometric data from more than 100 million users of that platform specialized in sharing photos and videos.
