The emergency operation at HSV legend Uwe Seeler obviously went well. This reports the “picture”. Accordingly, the surgery on the 83-year-old took an hour and went as planned. The long-time HSV captain and honorary captain of the national team had a serious fall in his Norderstedter house and had broken his hip and was treated in the Albertinen hospital in Hamburg-Schnelsen. Now the club icon had to stay in the clinic for a few more days.

Uwe Seeler is one of the largest football personalities in the country and has played a total of 72 caps for the national team. In Germany he won the German championship in 1960 with Hamburger SV, three years later he won the DFB Cup with the Hanseatic League.
1978 ended his active career, from 1995 to 1998 he was president of the Hamburg sports club. Seeler is also an honorary citizen of the city of Hamburg.
