A 40-year-old motorcyclist is suffering serious injuries in a Vancouver hospital after hitting a truck at West Point Gray on Thursday afternoon.
The Vancouver police say the incident occurred just before 2.30pm. at the intersection of West Fourth Avenue and Blanca Street.
The motorcyclist was traveling east on West Fourth when he hit a transport truck, which was making a left turn to head south on Blanca Street, police said.

The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was hospitalized where he remains, but police say he is now in critical condition.
The truck driver was not seriously injured and is cooperating with the police in their investigations.
Police say the intersection will be closed for "many more hours" as investigators gather evidence from the scene.
It is believed that speed was a factor in the accident.
The witnesses or drivers with video crash cams of the collision are asked to contact the Vancouver police.
