Vancouver police are looking for suspects at the start of the first squalid downtown – BC

A 25-year-old man is in hospital with serious fatal injuries after a stab in the middle on Saturday morning.

Shortly before two in the morning, two groups of people had a fight in Hornby near Dunsmuir Street.

During this altercation, a man was stabbed and seriously injured. He remains in the hospital in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene before the police arrived. He is described as a teenager between the ages of 20 and 30, both Caucasian and Latin, and wears all black.

Investigators from the VPD's Major Crimes Section believe the incident was caught on at least one camera on a cell phone, and they are asking for the footage to be delivered to the police.

The detectives are also asking anyone with video dash-cams that this morning could have driven into the Hornby and Dunsmuir Street area between 1:30 and 2:00 to come forward.
Anyone with information on this stabbing or video is invited to call the Vancouver police at 604-717-2541 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
