Vasilije Micicius is ready to spread his wings to the NBA: “The time has come”

The star of Istanbul “Anadolu Efes” spoke to the media of this country while participating in the celebration held in Greece and talked about his plans.

“I can say that I am ready to go to the NBA. The time has come, – COSMOTE TV quotes the Serbian. – Last year I wasn’t ready psychologically because I wanted to spend one more year in Europe, but now we’ll see. I’m also happy at Efes and I’m just enjoying the moment.”

V. Micicius, who became the EuroLeague champion twice in a row and was chosen as the most valuable player of the final four both times, was invited with the 52nd pick in the NBA draft in 2014, when he was chosen by the Philadelphia 76ers.

However, the rights to him now belong to the “Oklahoma City Thunder” club, which has the priority to sign a contract with the European basketball star.

V. Micicius averaged 18.2 points, 4.6 assists and 17.5 utility points in the Euroleague last season. He became only the fourth basketball player to win the Final Four MVP twice in a row, after Toni Kukočius, Dejan Bodiroga and Vassilis Spanoulis.
