VeChain joined the China Food and Animal Safety Alliance (CAFA) as a council member, the platform will be the only one in charge of providing blockchain technology in the alliance
The objective of CAFA is building a reliable platform that allows the connection between the government, industry associations, production companies and research institutes in the food sector, the function of VeChain within the alliance, it will be improve the traceability platform from farm to table.
The China Food and Animal Safety Alliance is an organization that is currently being supported by the government of China, under the China National Agricultural Science Technological Innovation Alliance, which was initiated by the Department of agriculture from the country.
Currently, the Alliance has more than 130 registered members among which are large companies and different organizations of the food industry what includes food manufacturers, e-commerce platforms and supermarkets.
With the inclusion of VeChain, a process of traceability where the members of the Alliance will be able to register the key processes of food products in the blockchain, as explained by the ad from the company.
The incorporation will be focused on providing consumers of food of animal origin, safe, high quality and healthy products, traceability will cover from the beginning of cultivation, processing, packaging, logistics and more data that will contribute to the vision of CAFA.
