Vicki Laksmy surely repelled the attacks to finish
Winner last month at Vincennes before experiencing a small setback, Vicki Laksmy proved intractable in the Quinté + on Monday at Mauquenchy, while the favorites Come On Hugo and Efaro disappeared successively on a prank.
The cards were redistributed from the first meters of the race, with the fault of the favorite Come On Hugo (10-A.Lamy). Very prominent, despite a little concern after his two packages at the beginning of the month, Vicki Laksmy (12-F.Lagadeuc) came easily to command a little over a lap from the finish. After having printed a regular train, the resident of Fabrice Souloy was intractable to the end, surely repelling the attacks. Asked after the race, François Lagadeuc was quite seduced: “It’s a great discovery. He was fairly good at the start, but knew how to be strong until the end. He is a good recruit for Fabrice Souloy.” The winner’s mileage reduction of 1’14”3 is not necessarily to be taken into consideration, after the track has been made sticky by heavy rainfall.
Quickly in good order, Eagle Pass (4-M.Mottier) followed the progression of Efaro in the opposite line (which was then shown to be at fault when he had resources), then showed himself courageous and wrestler in order to obtain the first runner-up against Quite E. Wood (11-T.Duvaldestin), author for the occasion of an excellent debut on our soil. Discreet during the journey, Eros de Joudes (2-T.Duvaldestin) came to illusion for the runners-up, before finally failing after a fight, without demerit. Close outside at the last pass in front, the big outsider Eureka Vrie (15-T.Chalon) could not approach the first to finish, but still grabbed fifth place, behind.
