Video: Trump offers Iran's leadership talks on nuclear program

US President Donald Trump has offered Iran talks on the nuclear program. At a press conference convened spontaneously on Thursday, Trump said he would be called by the leadership in the Islamic Republic for a meeting. The US and Iran could come to a fair agreement. It just does not want Iran to have nuclear weapons. That is not asking too much. The US is open for talks. A military action he could not exclude, however, given the tensions between the two countries. Asked why the US government has transferred aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and a bomber squadron to the Middle East, Trump said, “We have information you do not want to know.” At present, the US conflict with Iran is getting worse. Trump imposed new sanctions on the country on Wednesday. Iran had previously suspended some obligations under the 2015 agreement.
