SINERGIANEWS.com – Social media was shocked with a video of a man sharing his story when he was diagnosed with herpes zoster.
He shared his story on his personal Tiktok account @Kang.seblak1932 on Thursday 30 June 2022. The man initially thought that the bumps on his face were ordinary pimples.
But he also suspected and saw that his pimple looked very different from usual because there was water in it.
“But after looking around, I saw that the acne was different, the contents were elastic, and in the end I took treatment,” the man wrote in his Tiktok video.
Knowing the bumps that were mistaken for pimples and looked different, the man immediately went to treatment and finally the diagnosis appeared and said that he had herpes zoster.
“I was diagnosed with herpes zoster virus,” said the man, accompanied by a tearful expression.
Meanwhile, the Mayo Clinic reported that Herpes Zoster itself means a viral infection that can cause a painful rash.
It appears because it is caused by the varicella-zoster virus, or can be referred to as the chickenpox virus.
After a person is exposed to the chickenpox virus, the virus is then inactivated in the nervous tissue that is near the spinal cord and brain.
Then years later the virus can be active again but as herpes zoster. Although the virus is not dangerous, the condition makes the sufferer sick.
Here are some signs and symptoms of herpes zoster:
- Pain, burning, numbness or tingling
- Sensitivity to touch
- A red rash that starts a few days after the pain
- Blisters filled with fluid that rupture and harden
Not only that, some others are also accompanied by fever, headache, and fatigue.***
