Harianjogja.com, BANTUL– The Bantul Health Office asked the public to increase awareness of the transmission of the Covid-19 disease. Because, there are Covid-19 patients who died without comorbids or comorbidities.
“The fact is that in Bantul there are patients who contract the Corona virus, then die without comorbids,” said the Head of the Bantul Health Office, Agus Budi Raharjo, Thursday (17/9/2020).
Agus said that one patient died without comorbidities, one of the 13 patients who died from the SARS CoV-2 virus which causes Covid-19 disease. The data was recorded until Wednesday (16/9/2020). Meanwhile, there were 596 people who were positively infected by Corona until last Wednesday in almost all sub-districts in Bantul.
Of these, 488 people recovered and 95 people are still in isolation at the Covid-19 special referral hospital. Agus said that the presence of Covid-19 patients who died without comorbids was a strong warning to people who still doubted that Covid-19 did not cause people to die unless they had comorbidities.
The Health Office does not deny that most of those who are exposed to Covid-19 are people without symptoms (OTG) and can recover in a matter of days. “But Covid-19 is still dangerous. So people should not underestimate it and still adhere to health protocols,” said Agus.
The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bantul Helmi Jamharis stated that the public must be aware that Covid-19 exists and attack anyone regardless of age, including those who do not have congenital diseases such as heart disease, hypertension and diabetes, can also die. The key to prevention, he said, is to tighten health protocols.
The Bantul Regional Secretariat is also tightening the internal ASN and TNI-Polri so that clusters do not appear in offices. ASN in Bantul is currently doing it swab mass in a number of regional apparatus organizations (OPD), especially those that are in direct contact with public services. “The results of the coordination meeting with the DIY Task Force led by KGPAA Paku Alam X have emphasized that now we must jointly apply health protocols both internal to the government and external to the community,” he said.
The head of the Bantul Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force has also ordered the joint health protocol enforcement team to tighten health protocols and always remind people who are careless.
