“Mask Up and Get Vaccinated”. It is the most said and most heard phrase during the year of the pandemic and the one that followed. The end of 2021 marked the advent of a new variant, the mischievous and widespread Omicron, which is now causing the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
Although people are quite clear and determined to get vaccinated, a cloud of doubt surrounds the masks. Masking up is one of the most essential things you can do to protect yourself from the virus. Before coming to a conclusion on this pressing question, let’s take a look at the types of masks that are currently prevalent among people, and by comparing them, you might stumble upon the right choice.

Currently, if you go outside, you will see people wearing the most sophisticated N95 masks, surgical masks and masks made from clothing. Now, given the variant’s high transmissibility, it’s important to note a few things.
That said, the type of masks you should choose depends on the environment you are in.
