We now have an official date and time for when Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 comes out.
Sixteen hours have passed since the Fortnite “The End” live event that concluded Chapter 2. Since then, we have been observing a character floating in the ocean slowing down and moving towards the new map.
The Fortnite servers are still down, but the update was released a few hours ago. Data-miners have already gone through the files and leaked future challenges, weapons, and skins, as well as the starter pack for Season 1.
Although there is no official announcement from Epic Games, we do know when Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 will be out. Here’s what you need to know about the release date.
When does Fortnite Chapter 3 start?
Season 1 of Fortnite Chapter 3 is due out today, Sunday, December 5 at 10 a.m. M. ET (3 p. M. GMT). The character in the ocean is now approaching the island which is now visible in the background as seen in the image below.
Chapter 3 is expected to end in late March, though it could change at any time. It seems like Epic is following the same strategy they used in Chapter 2, where the first few seasons were 100 days or more.
This season’s Battle Pass features the Foundation in a style of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson alongside Spider-Man. However, we are not sure if Spider-Man will be the secret skin that will be unlocked later in the season or if it will be available if you level up.
We do know that there will be a mythical Spider-Man item that will allow players to swing from objects to travel the map faster. For all the leaks and news from Chapter 3, head over to the home page.
