The death toll from the collapse of the roof of a church in the state of Tamaulipasin northern Mexico, rose to 11 this Monday, after the death of a young woman who remained hospitalized in a public hospital, the state government reported.
“Unfortunately, the patient admitted to the Pemex (Petróleos Mexicanos) hospital has just died, we are going to begin the procedures,” the state health secretary said at a press conference. Vicente Joel Hernández Navarro.
According to the official, the 18-year-old girl was hospitalized there in serious condition after the accident that also left her at least 60 injured, of which more than 20 are hospitalized in other hospitals in Ciudad Madero, the municipality where the incident occurred.
The authorities pointed out that this Monday at 05:00 local time (11:00 GMT) they ended the search for people“whether alive or not”, although they continue with the removal of debris.
