Xiaomi launches adaptive noise canceling headphones and a new smartwatch

Xiaomi presented this Monday a new pair of wireless headphones for less than 100 euros as well as a connected watch for less than 140 euros.

As expected, Xiaomi unsheathed new products on Monday in China. The manufacturer had already teased on the Chinese social network Weibo the presentation of its headphones True Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones 3, they were finally presented, as reported by the site GSM Arena.

These new listeners are not the first models with active noise reduction from Xiaomi – the company notably launched the Redmi Buds 3 Pro where the FlipBuds Pro – but these are the first Xiaomi-branded headphones to offer adaptive noise reduction. What allow, according to the manufacturer, to reduce exterior noise up to 40 dB (A). A transparent mode is also proposed.

Besides active noise reduction, the headphones are also compatible with 360 degree 3D sound. On the codec side, Xiaomi cites compatibility with LHDC 4.0. The headphones are also waterproof – with an IP55 certification – and offer up to 27 hours of battery life using the charging case compatible with wireless charging. The headphones are also compatible with multipoint Bluetooth and can therefore connect to two sources simultaneously.

In addition to its headphones, Xiaomi also unveiled a new connected watch, soberly called Xiaomi Watch Color 2. It is equipped with a 1.43 inch diameter Oled screen with a density of 326 pixels per inch. The watch is 5 ATM certified for its water resistance, allows you to take advantage of GPS tracking and benefits from a 470 mAh battery to allow it an autonomy of 12 days in average use and 30 hours with activated GPS tracking. Among the health measurements, the Xiaomi Watch Color 2 can measure the oxygen saturation of the blood (SpO2) as well as heart rate, sleep tracking and menstrual cycle.

Regarding the functions of the watch, it does not embark Wear OS 3, but a home system developed by Xiaomi. However, this has the advantage of allowing the installation of third-party applications.

For now, these two novelties have only been announced in China. The True Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones 3 will be available on October 9 at 699 yuan (92 euros) while the watch will be available on September 30 at 999 yuan (132 euros).
