The most productive technologies for fast cable charging are now used now in the Huawei Mate 20 Pro (SuperCharge, 40 W) and Oppo Find X (SuperVOOC, 50 W) smartphones. However, on March 26, Xiaomi could present its development in this area, which will break all previous records. Its name does not shine with originality – Super Charge Turbo, but the technical indicators are impressive.
Details on the Super Charge Turbo have yet to be discovered, but at the moment it is already known that the power of a compatible charger will be 100 watts. According to the video teaser, a smartphone that supports a technology with a capacity of 4000 mA h will be charged by such an adapter from 0 to 50% in just 7 minutes and the remaining half will be charged in 10 minutes. Therefore, it will be possible to fully charge the battery which has dropped to zero in 17 minutes.
It has not yet been specified in which upcoming Xiaomi smartphone model the Super Charge Turbo technology will be implemented for the first time. Among the new products expected for the current year, the most likely candidate is Mi Mix 4. But it is possible that the producer decides to wait for the announcement of Mi 10, which, according to the chronology of the flagship family Mi , should take place at the end of winter or next spring.
We recall the one introduced in February 2019, Xiaomi Mi 9 received support for 27-watt wired charging Quick Charge 4+. True, the standard adapter produces only 18 W and the 27 W power supply unit for USB-C is proposed to be purchased separately bundled with a 20 watt wireless charging station.
