While serious violence is likely to explode on Saturday 8th in Paris and elsewhere in France, Laurent Wauquiez proposes a radical measure. The president of the Republicans asked Wednesday the return of the state of emergency.
"The first priority of this week is to ensure that Saturday does not live the same black Saturday", explained on France 2, while he was the guest of the show The 4 truths. Wishing to "Crisis exit" the party leader felt that the government had to act and hit hard.
"I think that the state of emergency temporarily allows our policemen and our gendarmes the means to act correctly, that's why I ask"he said.

Laurent Wauquiez would like to "Protect the police and protect the yellow jackets that want to march peacefully without being taken hostage". Think also about the president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region "Prohibition to demonstrate" and also "Administrative searches".
As a hand extended to the government, in a very bad condition from the start of the protest movement, Laurent Wauquiez also assured that the Republicans were ready "To hire (their) responsibilities" participating "From proposals, to a true exit from the crisis".
The first priority is to ensure that we do not live a fourth black Saturday. I support the establishment of a temporary state of emergency to protect the forces of the order and #GiletsJaunes who want to protest without being held hostage by the thugs. # Les4V pic.twitter.com/GQp45yzt1j

The government itself does not seem to be closed to the restoration of the state of emergency. Interior Minister Christophe Castaner did not close the door to this option on Sunday, December 2, the day after the violence in Paris.
This exceptional state is however, for the moment, "Not in the agenda" for Laurent Nunez, his secretary of state.
