It wasn’t an ideal destination for us,” Belohorcová stated in the podcast The Juraj tailor Show.
Hájek and their children then took a vacation to Tenerife. “They swam in the sea there in February and the kids were thrilled, so we knew this was the place,” Zuzana continued, noting that she was in Slovakia at the time but still agreed to join her family on the island.
The beginnings in Tenerife were difficult
“We arrived in Tenerife during the COVID-19 pandemic. Everything was closed and completely different,” the businesswoman explained. They also encountered challenges when searching for housing. “We had two cats with us, and no one wanted to rent to us. Real estate agencies weren’t operating effectively here,” Hájek mentioned.
Initially, they considered opening a bar on the beach. However, they realized the local real estate market had meaningful opportunities. “There was a lot of uncertainty, so we thought real estate would be an excellent idea.”
