Daniel Luque has sent a statement to report on his condition after the serious abdominal goring he suffered last Friday in El Puerto de Santa María, an accident in which the fibula of his left leg was also fractured, an injury for which he underwent surgery this Sunday in Seville. The full text of the statement reads as follows:
“Luque underwent surgery this afternoon for a fracture in the fibula of his left leg at the Virgen Macarena University Hospital in Seville, which occurred last Friday in the El Puerto de Santa María bullring when one of the best tasks of his important season to a Montalvo bull.The intervention has been a complete success.
At the request of the bullfighter, the operation has been carried out quickly, with the firm intention of shortening recovery times and being able to return to fighting as soon as possible.
Regarding the goring suffered in the abdomen, the evolution is favorable and there are no complications.
The recovery periods will depend on the evolution of the intervened area, although the objective is to return to the ring as soon as possible.
