Prison for the former Grapo terrorist who shot another in Vigo

The Court of Instruction number 5 of Vigo has decreed this Saturday the entry into provisional prison with notification and without bail for the former member of the terrorist organization GRAPO detained in Vigo for shooting another man during an argument in a dog park.

The judge maintains Manuel Baña Gil, A 69-year-old man is being investigated for attempted homicide or threats, pending confirmation throughout the investigation if the shots were really intended to intimidate and were directed at the other person; and also for illegal possession of weapons.

Manuel Baña Gil He has a police record linked to the terrorist organization GRAPO and police sources consider him a “history” of the gang. He was even in prison for links to these terrorist activities in the 80s.

This man was arrested on Thursday evening because he got into a gunfight in a dog park in Castlesin the city of Vigo, against another man with whom he was having an argument related to his dogs. Both were there with their dogs and a confrontation began.

The other person involved is a 28-year-old young man who told the Vigo Local Police that it all started around 6:40 p.m. on Thursday because he blamed the aggressor for having two dogs loose, without a leash. It was not the first time that arguments occurred between the two for this same reason.
