Creative director John Galliano created the MAISON MARGIELA 2024 spring haute couture series, re-examining the dressing ceremony from a creative artistic perspective, making clothing a carrier of people’s self-emotional expression. By experimenting with different silhouettes, textures and innovative advanced customization techniques, this series creates a complex sensory mood, leading viewers to wander along the Seine River in Paris, stroll freely under the moonlight, and meet a group of exquisite muses.

The makeup look for this show was a modern take on porcelain makeup. The brows were bleached, while a slender arch was defined using neutral-toned eyeshadow. The painterly eye makeup comes in a variety of stunning jewel tones, soft pinks and stylish wood tones, while cream blush is applied to the center of the cheeks to create a doll-like blush. The lips are painted in bright red and black with great visual impact, and transparent lip gloss is added to create a porcelain-like lip makeup with a surreal aesthetic style.
