A multivehicle collision on Monday evening near Dallas‘ east and southeast Oak Cliff neighborhoods left one woman dead and three other people seriously injured, according to local emergency officials.
Emergency Response at Wadsworth Drive and Great Trinity Forest Way
Dallas Fire-Rescue units responded to the intersection of Wadsworth Drive and Great Trinity Forest Way shortly after 5 p.m. on Monday, following multiple reports of a crash involving two to three vehicles, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans. Five rescue vehicles and an EMS supervisor deployed to the scene to manage the heavy wreckage and provide emergency medical treatment.
Officers with the Dallas Police Department arrived about seven minutes after the initial fire-rescue dispatch, according to department spokeswoman Erika Brown. Active police logs for the incident show that more than 10 units responded to secure the area and manage the flow of traffic around the multi-car collision site.
Casualties and Hospital Transport Details
First responders pronounced one woman dead at the scene of the crash. Authorities have not yet publicly released her identity.
Three other individuals—one man and two women—sustained severe trauma in the impact. According to Dallas Fire-Rescue statements, paramedics transported all three survivors to local area hospitals with what officials described as serious injuries.
