Advertising Bonus 2026: A 75% Tax Credit for Businesses
Businesses, self-employed workers, and non-commercial entities in Italy can benefit from a significant tax credit in 2026 for advertising investments. The “Advertising Bonus,” equal to 75% of the incremental value of advertising spend compared to 2025, aims to encourage information dissemination and support communication investments. This benefit is available for advertising in daily and periodical press, both in paper and digital formats.
What is the 2026 Advertising Bonus?
The Advertising Bonus, outlined in article 57-bis of Legislative Decree 50/2017, provides a tax credit of 75% on the increase in advertising expenditure in 2026 compared to 2025 on the same media. To qualify, advertising spending must be at least 1% higher than the previous year. The initiative is funded with an overall ceiling of 30 million euros per year, in compliance with European “de minimis” aid regulations. If requests exceed this ceiling, the credit may be proportionally reduced among beneficiaries.
