Docon Spring Cherry Blossom Festival to Bloom in Seongnam, South Korea on April 4, 2026
The Docon-dong neighborhood in Seongnam, South Korea, will host its annual Spring Cherry Blossom Festival on Saturday, April 4, 2026. The event, organized by the Docon-dong Cherry Blossom Festival Promotion Committee, will feature a walking competition, live performances, food stalls, and nighttime lighting displays.
Cherry Blossom Road Walking Competition
The highlight of the festival is the 4km Cherry Blossom Road Walking Competition, beginning at 9:00 AM. The route starts at Seommal Park, proceeds along Dochoncheon Stream and through Iwangi Park, and returns to the event site. Participants can register through the Dogon Community Welfare Center or via a QR code on the center’s Naver blog until March 29, 2026. A total of 150 teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The participation fee is 5,000 won per person, with a reduced rate of 3,000 won for preschool children. Participants will receive snapshot services, lucky ticket opportunities, and completion souvenirs. Those attending in cosplay will receive special souvenirs.
Live Performances and Entertainment
Prior to the walking competition, a pre-ceremony performance will showcase the Seongnam City Traditional Music Group and the Seongnam Youth Professional Arts Troupe. A main concert, starting at 3:00 PM near Dochon Police Station, will feature singer The Cross, Hwang Hyun-song from Miss Trot 4, a K-pop dance team, a saxophonist, and the Seongnam City Choir.
