The 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season arrives at the Milwaukee Mile for a high-stakes doubleheader weekend, marking Rounds 16 and 17 of the championship calendar ahead of the season finale at Laguna Seca, according to Arrow McLaren. Held at the world’s oldest continuously operating motor speedway, the weekend features two distinct 250-lap races on the 1.015-mile short oval in Milwaukee, Wis.

Championship Implications at the Milwaukee Mile

With only three races remaining in the 2026 campaign, Arrow McLaren drivers Christian Lundgaard and Pato O’Ward enter the Milwaukee doubleheader looking to capture critical points to keep their title hopes alive, according to Arrow McLaren. Lundgaard holds third place in the championship standings with 443 points, maintaining an average finish of 7.6 across the season. O’Ward sits fifth in the standings with 399 points, carrying an average starting position of 8.4 and an average finish of 8.3 into the short-oval battles.

“Excited to get back to Milwaukee where we’ll have two chances at a victory,” O’Ward said, according to Arrow McLaren. “I always enjoy this racetrack, and we’ll look to put on a show for the fans, score some hardware and close out these last couple of weeks on a high.”

Momentum and Track History

Siegel ranks 19th in the standings with 223 points. The team’s leadership boasts deep roots at the Milwaukee venue, featuring historical victories from Team Principal Tony Kanaan in 2006 and 2007, and Sporting Director Ryan Hunter-Reay in victories spanning 2004, 2012, and 2013, alongside a 2024 win by O’Ward, as reported by Arrow McLaren.
