Tegucigalpa, February 4, 2026 — The Fundación Hondureña para el Niño con Cáncer (FHNC), also known as SalvamiVida, has announced a partnership with Banrural as the official sponsor of the 2026 Mega Colecta, a national fundraising event aimed at supporting children with cancer and their families in Honduras. The initiative seeks to raise L. 8 million (eight million lempiras) to provide comprehensive care for pediatric oncology patients.

The Mega Colecta 2026 will culminate in a nationwide fundraising day on Saturday, February 21, 2026, with volunteers collecting donations in over 45 cities and municipalities across the country. The campaign already includes a virtual component, allowing individuals, families, and corporations to contribute through online “virtual bottle” donations.

The FHNC aims to raise L. 8,000,000.00 to ensure continued access to free oncology medications and comprehensive support services. Funds raised will be allocated to cover medical treatments, essential medicines, psychological care, nutritional support, and overall assistance for children and their families battling cancer. The foundation annually supports more than 1,000 pediatric patients, ensuring financial barriers do not impede their access to life-saving treatment.
