2026 Oscars: Best, Worst and Wackiest Red Carpet Looks
The 98th Academy Awards have concluded, and while the statuettes have been awarded, another competition unfolded on the red carpet: best, worst, and wackiest dressed. Yahoo Canada readers have cast their votes, and the results are in.
Best: Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton
Emma Stone’s shimmering Louis Vuitton gown captivated Yahoo Canada readers, securing 46% of the votes for best dressed. The silver sequin fabric added glamour to the simple, square-neck, cap-sleeve design.
Stone’s makeup artist, Nina Park, used Louis Vuitton cosmetics to create a soft iridescent look, enhancing the star’s blue eyes. A soft bob and stacked earrings completed the look, embodying the ’90s edge Stone has favored in 2026.
Worst: Kevin O’Leary
Kevin O’Leary’s Oscars ensemble garnered 83% of reader votes for worst dressed. The Canadian businessman, who starred in Marty Supreme, wore a Dolce & Gabbana jacket that reportedly took seven months to create, paired with a custom Tiffany & Co. Necklace featuring images of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James.
Wackiest: Chloe Zhao
Chloe Zhao’s funeral-inspired ensemble earned 80% of reader votes for wackiest look. The Hamnet director and Oscar nominee arrived on the red carpet in a gown by British designer Gabriella Hearst, crafted from repurposed wool gauze dyed black and coated with silver metal leaf. The dress featured a ruffled skirt and a diamond Bvlgari snake necklace.
